Amy Streit began her career at Tippins, Inc. working with the Level 2 system and on Research and Development for the software models. She then spent a few years working on gas measurement software and communications for a gas company. Following her time in the gas industry, Amy returned to the Steel Industry working as a contractor with Level 2 systems. Amy then rejoined Tippins Inc. to help design and implement the Level 2 Systems at two new Steckel mill constructions at KISCO and NISCO. Amy followed Tippins to SMS Siemag and continued to work in the Level 2 system. She also developed the HMI and Level 1 Communications. During her time at SMS, Amy helped develop and install the software and provided site support for projects at Nucor Tuscaloosa, Jindal Steel and Power and Maghreb Steel.
